Studio Major Assignment

Creative Editorial Portrait

My subject is a young country girl that has been chosen to be a model. She is important as she has been living on the farm her whole life and she has had it turned around by turning into a glamorous model.

The story that I want to tell is that just because you live in the country or on a farm doesn’t mean that you aren't beautiful, everyone is beautiful in their own individual way.

I want to have the image set up so that the model is either:

Dressed in formal clothing with a whip wrapped over her shoulder and wearing cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.
Have my model dressed in farm clothes, checkered shirt and jeans with high heels, party make-up and a fancy hand bag.
Have my model fully dressed in formal clothing.

For the background a scenic picture of a farm would be my chosen option. Otherwise have the backdrop plain and simple and let the two combining clothing convey the story.

I would have butterfly lighting on my model and have her to the side of my image so that part of the country scene behind is shown, depicting where she has come from.
